Club Information

St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay GAA, founded in 1892, has a proud tradition of fostering football excellence in Clare and has been a central pillar of the local community for generations.

The club has enjoyed success at all levels including 15 Senior Championship titles and has long been recognized for producing talented players, referees & administrators who have contributed to Clare football at inter-county ,provincial and on the national stage.

The club plays its home games at Hennessy Memorial Park named in honor of Patrick Hennessy, a former Miltown & Clare footballer, shot dead by British Occupying forces on 14 th of April 1920 at Canada Cross, Miltown Malbay. Hennessy Memorial Park has hosted over 30 Clare Senior Football Championship Finals and one Hurling Final in 1999, Munster Senior,Junior & Underage Championship games & National Football League games over the years.

Miltown St.Josephs currently field teams from U6 to Senior level including three adult sides. The club’s strong underage structure has ensured a steady stream of talent, supporting our sustained competitiveness at Senior level. Our club ethos is built on hard work, local pride, and a passion for Gaelic football that continues to inspire new generations of players coaches and supporters alike as the club continues to grow and develop not only on the pitch but as part of a thriving community.
