     Cumann Lúthchleas Gael is Ireland’s leading sporting and cultural organisation with membership approaching one million people and more than 500,000 playing participants at all levels. Inspired and supported by the voluntary efforts of its members, the GAA is focused on the development and promotion of Gaelic Games and culture on the island of Ireland and in local communities.

GAMES DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATOR (HURLING) - SOUTH KERRY

Comhairle na Mumhan C.L.G.

 Cúige Mumhan CLG wishes to recruit a Games Development Administrator for South Kerry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the game of hurling (in line with GAA Games Development Policy) within the South Kerry region.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Implement a regular programme of hurling games appropriate to the age and ability of the various playing groups at all levels.
  • Introduce coaching and skill development initiatives appropriate to the age and ability of the various playing groups.
  • Deliver a programme of courses and workshops appropriate to the requirements of Hurling Coaches, Administrators and Referees to fulfil their various functions in a Games Development context.
  • Introduce and implement a variety of initiatives to support the development of the game of hurling by managing the identification, recruitment and training of key personnel within Clubs, Schools and Counties to effectively develop Gaelic Games in the community.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience of working in the GAA or similar sporting organization (Voluntary or Professional Capacity)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent administrative and IT Skills are essential
  • At least Award 1 GAA Coaching Qualification
  • Full Clean Drivers License is essential
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • An appropriate Third Level Qualification would be a distinct advantag

M Donnelly Inter-Provincial Hurling Final

Munster will play Connacht in the M Donnelly Inter-Provincial Hurling Final on Sunday next in Cusack Park Ennis at 2:00pm. 

The Munster Hurling panel to play Connacht shows 3 changes from the semi-final panel which defeated Ulster. Brendan Cummins (Tipperary), Noel Connors and Paraic Mahony (both Waterford) are unavailable and are replaced in the panel by Patrick Kelly (Clare), Padraic Maher and Lar Corbett (both Tipperary). 

The full 26 man panel for Munster is as follows –
