Go Games Primary School Blitzes – East Clare Division

Last week Go Games blitzes were organized for 2nd, 3rd and 4th class boys and girls in East Clare at 6 different locations. In total 1039 children from 28 schools participated. Each child present was put into a 7, 8 or 9 a side team picked at random and all children played 3 games. On each occasion the running of the blitzes were greatly helped by the presence of teachers, teaching assistants and parents. A lot of schools also sent 5th and 6th class children to referee the games.

The blitz venues were Sixmilebridge, Tulla, Clonlara, Scariff, Wolfe Tones and O’Callaghans Mills. A further series of blitzes will take place from May 9th to 16th at various locations throughout the county for 3rd and 4th classes.
