4th Clare GAA Coaching Seminar

St. Flannan’s College Ennis will once again be the venue for the 4th Clare GAA Coaching Seminar, the title of which is “Developing the Inter County Player Of Tomorrow”

The seminar takes place on Saturday March 19th  with registration from 9am and ending at 2:30pm.

The one day seminar will be delivered by former Clare Goalkeeper and current Waterford Manager Davy FitzGerald along with current Kerry and Waterford Strength and conditioning coach Joe O’ Connor and Saoirse Bulfin of LIT.  

Throughout the day the following areas will be discussed


Ø  (A) Club Player. Importance and type of coaching.

Ø  (B) AWARNESS of Hurling & Diet, Mental Preparation, Strength & Conditioning, Injury Prevention

Ø  Practical sessions will also be conducted.

Games Development Manager Seán Chaplin has expressed his delight at securing the services of Davy for the seminar, stating that by learning from Davy’s experience of coaching the Waterford Senior Hurlers it can help our clubs to know what an inter county manager is looking for from the up and coming club players of today. 

Coaching Officer Eamon Fennessy has also spoken of what he expects from the day. From having worked closely with Davy over the last number of years in LIT, Eamon knows just how professional Davy is in his preparation for everything and expects a very enjoyable and knowledgeable day.
