NEWMARKET ON FERGUS...............2-18       KILMALEY...........0-9

By Michael O Connor.

In one of the easiest wins that this Newmarket side will ever enjoy they completely routed Kilmaley to qualify for the Clare Cup Final and a joust with Inagh/Kilnamona in Sixmilebridge on Sunday week. The omens suggested pre game that Newmarket would continue their good late season run of form that saw they annex the Senior B title and Junior A crown the weekend previous.

Driving rain welcomed the start of the game in Clarecastle but no one could have predicted the onslaught endured by Kilmaley particularly in the first half. The key player in the Newmarket scoring spree in the first half
